Female superhero helps Beijing's homeless - This Chinese woman has created a buzz online for dressing up in a superhero costume and helping homeless people in Beijing. In the photos, she wears a black outfit, complete with cape, gloves and a blue mask. She calls herself 'Chinese Redbud Woman'. She also started a microblog on Weibo to chronicle her adventures. The woman has been seen outside stores and in subway stations.She usually distributes warm clothing and food to beggars and homeless people. Her unusual approach to charity has caught the attention of both Bejing residents and netizens. Netizens are divided over her actions. Some have praised her actions, while others have criticised her. Those who criticised her asked whether it was necessary to perform charity in such an attire. However, all agreed that her dressing was not suitable for winter.
A Chinese news site said the woman has over 7,000 fans on her microblog. She told a Chinese journalist who contacted her that her identity was not important. She also said what she did was not a publicity stunt.

New Wonder Woman tv show is dead! Adrianne Palicki to play the new WONDER WOMAN CANCELLED BEFORE IT EVEN AIRS! Despite having the most buzz of any pilot this season, the David E. Kelley reboot failed to score a pickup. The news comes after lackluster buzz and a network screening that went poorly, multiple sources tell THR. The drama, produced by Warner Bros. TV, is a reinvention of the iconic DC comic in which Wonder Woman (Adrianne Palicki) is a vigilante crime-fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive trying to balance all the elements of her extraordinary life. Joining Palicki is Elizabeth Hurley, Tracie Thoms and Cary Elwes. Jeff Reiner (The Event) directed the pilot. In recent weeks, sources had suggested that the network would renew Kelley's first season drama, Harry's Law, instead. Thoms, who would have played Wonder Woman/Diana Prince's best friend Etta, voiced her disappoinment on Twitter, saying, "I am very sad that NBC passed on Wonder Woman. But that just goes to show you: There is no such thing as a "sure thing" in this biz." The last few days has finally produced a leaked photo of the oft-discussed and previously never-seen 'shorts' that Adrianne Palicki wore in the final fight scene of the pilot. While it definitely looks more 'iconic' -- albeit a little awkward with that ENORMOUS and gaudy belt -- it make one wonder if they held their cards to their vest a little too long. Meaning, it makes one wonder (one = me) if all the vitriole and hate over the initial promo image of the costume would have been cut down a little (or a lot) if this 'shorts version' was the first promo pic they released. Everyone has an opinion and all the haters would have still come out of the woodwork probably, but I think we would have seen a number of more favorable reactions and supports. Nevertheless, with the passing of the pilot, it seems like water under the bridge now ....a bridge that has once again been detonated with C4 by the NBC execs....What are your thoughts of the traditional outfit vs the long pants version? Would It Have Mattered?
